It's that time of year again… you're on the toilet surfing Instagram and boom, this teaser image of the new 2020 RZR model pops up. The head honcho of the UTV industry, Polaris is due to release their newest models on 7/28/19. Just like the Turbo S release, they have us diehards in complete suspense!
However, with the release of Can-Am's newest Maverick X3 X rs Turbo RR and its 195 horsepower, it has people wondering if Polaris has stepped up their performance game with this upcoming release, or if they just made cosmetic changes?
It's hard to believe they are improving on the Turbo S model. Other than losing the belt, and matching the Can-Am Turbo RR in performance, what else could they be up to?
With several of the major Factory Polaris-backed racing teams building Turbo S's right now (like Simms, Schueler and Lambert), I'm wondering who will be kicking themselves for not waiting to turn the 2020 model into their new Best in the Desert race car?
Phil Blurton and his Can-Am have been tough to beat for two consecutive years now. Will the 2020 RZR be the one to dethrone the king and put Polaris back on top of the box?
Going on behind the scenes is the scurry to unveil parts for the new models: suspension, cages, doors, etc.... Which companies have been secretly customizing the new 2020 RZR to unveil at the Sand Sports Super Show? Several had their hands on the Turbo S model before it was unveiled to the public in '18, such as Cognito and Assault Ind.
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas! I've followed the evolution of the UTV industry from the start, so I’m wondering: where are we going next?
